The Sony “Welcome Back” appreciation program for North America includes downloadable free games (from a tiny selection, of course) for PS3 and PSP, as well as a free limited subscription to PlayStation Plus.
The PSN store is still under maintenance here in the U.S., but for my two free PS3 games, I’ve decided on Little Big Planet (LBP) and Super Stardust HD; for PSP, ModNation Racers PSP and Killzone Liberation. Lucky Europe will have Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty available (I envy! Then again, who doesn’t have more than one PSN to download all the games anyway?).
I’m glad I didn’t get these games before because I’d be really annoyed if the only option I had been left with was Wipeout HD (LOL @someone I know).
Meanwhile, picked up Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for PS3 and playing now.

@2 years ago with 1 noteI now proclaim this my gaming blog (although, I probably won’t update as much as I wish I would; my twitter is a better read imo). Because tumblr won’t let me change my username, I created another one that will encompass my other, more personal ponderings (for which this blog was originally, but no longer is).
If you wish to not read about video games, Magic: the Gathering, or other forms of gaming, but are still willing to read the randomness that could only come from me, then I suggest you follow my other tumblr instead. Danke schoen.
@2 years agoMy night consisted of tissues and Patapon 2. Like the rest of my life, they’re color-coded.
note: Yes, the game is in digital format only (there is no UMD in there); I like collecting the PSP game cases ;x
It’s no secret that I love the Monster Hunter franchise (ohai, I’m only a hardcore-MH-Capcom/Sony/PSP-fanboy-actually-girl-butdoesitmatternotrly); of course I was happy upon hearing Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD will be coming soon to PS3.
However, like many fans (considering the people who actually play MH, meaning Japanese gamers, and the few thousands of people who still play on their PSPs in the West), I actually still prefer this game on the handheld over the home consoles (recall the difference between the Japanese portable market versus the current American home console generation).
So while I am excited (despite what will undoubtedly be a long wait for the U.S. release), I also question the future success of the MonHon franchise stateside.

I totally set myself up for that.
I’m currently still on Level 8 missions in Gods Eater Burst, honestly only because I don’t want it to end (I probably could have finished it within the first week; the storyline is THAT good, and -cough- not to toot my own horn, but the monsters are way easier to beat compared to those in MH).
Anyway, when I’m bored, I surf. When I surf, I read spoilers without realizing. I forget that I need to isolate myself from the rest of the world when I don’t want to see things from my future. That is all.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite! -forever playing-
GameStop hides them in a box in the back, but we were able to get two copies today ;P
